The month of love
Here's what books I'm cozying up with- plus, hints about my new series!
Dear Readers,
February is already here! In this month of love, there’s nothing better than curling up with a good romance novel. My reading list this month includes a beta read of Caroline Cartier’s upcoming Pride and Prejudice book “Ever After End”, Alexis Lampley’s “Pride and Prejudice in Space” is my book club’s pick, and I’ll finish off the month with a book I’ve been meaning to get to for a while, Sara Marks’ modern retelling of Emma “Love and War in Woodhouse Hall”. What are you reading this month?
As I get ready to publish my 4th full length Regency P&P variation in The Other Paths Collection, “The Pleasure of Remembrance”, I’m stepping away from writing Jane Austen fanfiction for a few months to begin a brand-new contemporary rom-com series, “Wedding Planners in Love.”
I’m already into the first draft of the prequel to the series “Vows With the Vineyard Owner.” Lila and Ethan make a childhood promise to marry each other if they’re both still single by the age of 30. They reconnect after a long absence when Lila, who is now a wedding planner, runs into Ethan at a food and wine festival where he is promoting his winery and vineyard. The trouble is, Lila is already attached to someone else! It has a very Hallmark-y vibe, and I hope will be lots of fun for my readers and a great introduction to the rest of the characters at the Storybook Weddings agency.
Happy reading,
Amanda Kai
